RAM - Vehicle Trackers to Support Charities

Remote Asset Management is pleased to announce a new charity scheme. We would like to offer selected charities the chance to benefit from our GPS vehicle tracker solutions at charity events. Charity bike rides, runs or walks usually include a SAG wagon (support vehicle), which follows participants along the designated route. Combining the installation of a RAM tracker and RAM’s innovative mapping software, donators, family and friends who are unable to participate or attend on the day of the event will be able to watch the progress of the event in real time. It is a tried and tested method which was used for the ‘way of the roses’ charity bike ride, which raised £20,000 to be shared between St Gemma's Hospice in Leeds and St Leonards Hospice in York, as Ian Harris, C.E.O. at Search Laboratory in Leeds explains:
“Remote Asset Management kindly donated a tracker to our event. A few days before the bike ride we sent out the website address to all our contacts and that alone resulted in around 30% more donations. During the three day ride people could track our progress and it gave us more excuses to contact people. Overall, it made the event more professional, more engaging for those that had sponsored us, and more importantly for the hospices we were supporting, we raised around 40% more because of the tracker. ”
The real-time tracking element of our various tracking solutions is the main element of our new charity offering. We will provide and install a tracker for free and supporters will be able to see where participants are from any computer connected to the internet by visiting the relevant blog page. We will update the RAM blog to include a post for each charity event and from this post it will be possible to view the relevant tracking map.
